What are your Reflections in your life? – Day 30 365 Photo Calendar Project January 30, 2014

I have been noticing more that, I’m seeing the light, more often in whatever I am observing.  I liked how this little stream, the light is caught up in the ripples of the shadows, giving the stream dimension, as it flows down.  I am thankful for many streams that have influenced my life, good parents, good husband & children, good friends, faith, knowing I’m a child of God, with a purpose here.

Camera:  ISO 100, f/3.5, 1/8, 100 mm  This was taken indoors.

Peddles, rocks, roads, mountains..Here I come Day 29 -photo calendar project

This is yellow jasper, isn’t it beautiful the designs created in it!  I used to use these stones for jewelry making, and now I’ll be listing them to sell online.  They reminded me of the bands in the mountains.  I’ve signed up for a relay race, through the mountains of southern Alberta and into glacier national park.  Baby steps and dedication, will get me there!

Yellow jasper beads, also for sale 🙂

THINK GREEN!! Day 28 – 365 photo calendar project January 29, 2014

I do live in a cold climate, but the last 2 weeks, have been very nice, even despite, the warmer weather, we still have huge piles, that have now turned into ice.  I’m ready to think green, and hope for an early Spring!

Have you ever taken a selfie? Day 26 – 365 Photo Calendar Project January 26, 2014

The company Dove is inspiring with their beauty ads, and their empowerment when it comes to social media, in the form of magazine, tv ads, newspaper, and the high addicting social media.  As woman, we are bombarded daily by what and how we should define our beauty by.  We are told at just a young age, that if we have pimples, that we are too fat, how we should base our beauty on.  Dove did it again, with the concept of “Selfies”  I have never done that, to turn the camera on myself.   First check out this video by Dove, then check out my photo for the day, by first selfie  Image.

Day 26- Selfie

Camera:   Iso 800, 50mm, f/1.2, 1/40 sec   I had to have it on the green circle of death (automatic mode) so it could adjust and try to focus on appropriately!  That was quite fun, it’s a first!    Hi, Nice to meet you, thank you for coming and checking out my progress on this project…I have have to change it up…how many people actually want to see a picture of me, on a calendar!

Day 25 – Bright sunrise 365 photo Calendar Project

Day 25 – Sunrise

Camera- 100 iso, 50mm  f/6.3 1/400 sec

I was standing up on the high grounds of the temple, and seeing the sun coming over just overlooking the city!! Why do I not want to jump out of my nice warm cozy bed every morning, to capture the sky and city landscape!!   So, glad I did on Saturday!

It’s the little things – Day 24 – 365 Photo Calender Project January 24, 2014

Oops, I shoot this vertically.  So, I cropped it horizontally, and got the white space to the left, and was considering filling in the white space, with the dirt, but then I thought it would be a better place for a quote.  This really is a tiny plant, and it is by faith, that we hope for any type of seeds to reproduce to be their own kind.   Faith is not to have a perfect knowledge of things, but to hope for things which are not seen, that are true. Faith is to take action.  If I just planted this seed, and didn’t take any action to nourish it with sun, water, and soil, it would not thrive.
