"Preserving Time for Generations to Come"

Legumes, Day 55, 365 Photo Project, ~June 22, 2011 June 22, 2011

“The idea of a trail is not only to see some showy blossoms, but to also see some nice areas of the county.  Those you can see all year around.” ~Maxwell Norton

I am no botanist by any means, but I am grateful to go out on a photography field trip in my own town.  How is it possible that I have only been living here 25 years this summer in Calgary, and only been to some places once before!

I was introduced to this beautiful tiny plant, from the legume family,  I never knew before.  Good thing, for an instructor that can recognize his flowers, insects, birds, and even grasses.   I have fallen completely in love with this tiny plant.  I was probably only about 2 inches in height, with the petals being very tiny.  I just love the combination of the colours, and the details in the image.  I have many more trails to discover!  Christina
