As a parent of four, I endured my first driver. Three more to go! I have survived the days of hiding my anxiety and sweating palms as a passenger, while my oldest learned to drive last summer. He’s received his driving license in the fall, and drove in short distances, to church youth activites, or to the seminary building, which is a great place to hang out. Him driving to school frees up a lot of time for me and gets him where he wants to be. He even learned to drive a standard!
Now, I worry more about the drivers out there, waiting to hit him! Our 10 year old Saturn SL 2001, was a good reliable car, and fully paid for. The other driver, a minister, (he must belong to Race City Speedway) wasn’t paying attention, lost, failed to yield as he across an intersection, smacking our car, with my son in it. Our air bags blew, and the car crumpled!
The minister’s car ended up on the corner of a front yard of a home, narrowly missing a tree . As you can see, it’s not going to be getting fixed, we are just waiting for the final numbers. Unfortunately, it’s going to be hard to find a great deal on a used car, as we will have to spend more money than what we will most likely get from insurance! Got any great deals? Please, let me know! Christina
