Lucite Jewelry became popular in 1960’s. What is Lucite? It can be also called arcylic glass, it is a transparent thermoplastic. Remember those high platform clear shoes…that’s a form of lucite.
I bought some lucite beads last year, made a necklace, really don’t like the designed I followed from a magazine. It really looked cuter in the magazine then what I had created.
So, rather than destashing all the lucite, I’m upcycling it, and using it on some of the gift tags, I have created.
